Coulee Region Online is on hiatus pending a massive redesign in early 2012. There is activity in the Forums and the Blogs page continues to pull in new blog entries from the feeds but the site is mostly unmaintained and not being actively updated.

Coulee Region Online is a community portal for La Crosse, Wisconsin and surrounding communities. While we offer links and area information like other local portal sites, our focus is the people of the community. With forums, chats, and other interactive features, our goal is to move beyond just giving information and provide a gathering place where people can interact with their neighbors whether they be next door or across the Coulee Region.

While anyone in the world is welcome to join, our geographic focus is the area of southwest Wisconsin, southeast Minnesota, and north east Iowa known as the Driftless Area. This area includes the communities of La Crosse, Onalaska, Holmen, West Salem, Viroqua, Winona, and many more. We are roughly bordered by Rochester, Minnesota on the west, Eau Claire, Wisconsin on the north, Madison, Wisconsin on the east, and Dubuque, Iowa on the south.
